NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) counselling is the process through which qualified NEET UG candidates are allotted MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical/dental seats in various colleges across India. There are primarily two types of NEET counselling: 1) All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling: Conducted by the MCC for 15% of MBBS/BDS seats in government colleges all seats in central universities, deemed universities, ESIC colleges, and AFMC. 2) State Quota Counselling: Conducted by respective state authorities for 85% of MBBS/BDS seats in government colleges and all seats in private medical/dental colleges within the state.
